J

ames Robbins is the co-owner and Program Director of Dallas Whole Life Counseling. James holds two graduate degrees, a Master's degree in English literature from the University of Texas at Austin, and a master's degree in professional counseling from Amberton University in Dallas. James is a published author, national lecturer and professional counselor. His first book of non-fiction, Build A Better Buddha was published in 2003 by Nicolas-Hays, Inc. Although James regularly speaks and writes about various philosophical and spiritual belief systems from around the world, his therapy practice is not formally affiliated with any particular beliefs other than those of traditional Western psychotherapy.

J

ames has appeared in radio, print and television media in Texas, California and Washington. James has offered workshops, locally and nationally, addressing these same issues in both intimate and lecture-hall settings. Throughout his public work, James has had the opportunity to interact with a number of individuals from a wide range of ethnic, economic and cultural backgrounds, and continues to refine his warm, personalized approach of "meeting the client where the client is."

James specializes in couples counseling, sex therapy and helping individuals work through relationship issues. He also offers general individual treatment for adults and adolescents. Like Heather Robbins, James believes that conflicted family relationships are often at the heart of many day-to-day struggles.
