Nathaniel Ford

Nathaniel Ford, MA, LPC-Intern, LCDC-Intern

Nathaniel Ford is a professional counselor, with specialized training in marriage and family therapy and substance abuse counseling. Nathaniel holds two graduate degrees, an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the Rosemeade School of Psychology, and an M.A. in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. Nathaniel counsels individuals, couples, groups and families.

Nathaniel practices two primary styles of therapy. First, he utilizes Relational Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. RCBT examines the client's core beliefs, usually acquired during childhood, and helps the client to let go or work through early beliefs that no longer serve his or her current life situations and relationships. Second, he utilizes Emotion Focused Couples Therapy, which explores the deep, often unrecognized feelings, that underlie a couple's most persistent conflicts and frustrations.

Meeting Clients in the MonentNathaniel offers both secular and Christian counseling. Although he never presses any particular belief system on a client—nor does any Dallas Whole Life Counseling therapist—Nathaniel is open to exploring aspects of the Christian faith and worldview with interested clients. In integrating spirituality and clinical psychology, Nathaniel specializes in meeting clients in the moment, allowing their "faith to seek understanding."
